Job SummaryThe Prepared Foods Department Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the smooth operation of our Prepared Foods Team. This leadership position requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities

• Team Supervision - Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members, working closely with the Prepared Foods Trainer to build and maintain a high-performance team.
• Training and Development - Assists in training new Team Members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials, and fosters a positive environment of outstanding teamwork and mutual respect.
• Customer Service - Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs, directing Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
• Department Operations - Oversees and maintains compelling Prepared Foods, coffee, and juice displays, and ensures all necessary breaks are given.
• Performance Evaluation - Provides timely, thorough, and thoughtful performance evaluations, and consistently communicates and models WFM vision and goals.Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Leadership Skills - Demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.
  • Customer Service Skills - Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
  • Product Knowledge - Extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods team procedures and policies, as well as a strong understanding of regulatory and safety policies and procedures.
  • Technical Skills - Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.Work Environment
    • Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday, and work in a fast-paced environment.
