Duration: 12 months (with high possibilities of extension)
Location: Chandler, AZ / Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 3 days onsite 2 days remote)

As a PL/SQL Developer you will:

Description:This is an exciting opportunity to join Enterprise Payments Technology (EPT) and be part of a dynamic and fun team with amazing leadership.
EPT is a global payments team which provides a wide range of financial platforms and services.
EPT is made of core payment business technology functions including Merchant Solutions, Card Issuing, Digital Wallets, Transfers, Liability Payments and Settlement.
EPT facilitates the movement of roughly $693 trillion through the processing of approximately 18.8 billion transactions a year to more than 66 million consumer/small business relationships and 2 million wealth management clients.
The Merchant Services Team is looking for a Merchant Database Engineer to help the team develop and support application database code in the Merchant Services arena.


Required Skills:At least 7 years of experience developing packages and stored procedures using PL/SQL.
Must have experience and proficient knowledge of how to troubleshoot and performance tune queries.
Must be able to translate complex database ideas in terms a non-technical user can understand utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills

At least 7 years real-world experience of database design and development using Oracle 12c or higher
At least 7 years' experience developing packages and stored procedures using PL/SQL.
At least 7 years' experience writing and maintaining complex PL/SQL code including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages to implement business logic within the database.
At least 7 years' experience parsing and querying Oracle XML/JSON database structures.
Must have experience and proficient knowledge troubleshooting and performance tuning queries.
Must have experience working with Oracle SQL Developer or Oracle Toad 12.2 or higher
Must be able to translate complex database ideas in terms a non-technical user can understand utilizing excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Should have knowledge and experience using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
Should have knowledge reading, interpreting and explaining Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) reports
Strong leadership, communication, writing, and relationship skills across varied levels of influence
Ability to design the system with little direction or guidance
Excellent analytical and logical skills
Self-starter with thought leadership
Ability to partner with both technology and business associates to implement solutions
Ability to multitask and work independently


Preferred Skills:Payments or Banking background is highly preferred
Oracle Golden Gate knowledge
Experience developing with JDK for PL/SQL, Java, Oracle Stored procedures
Knowledge and awareness of other non-Oracle DBMS technologies.
Good understanding of Micro-Services Architecture
Oracle SQL and PL/SQL Certification


The ideal candidate will have: Oracle, PL/SQL, XML, JSON, Performance Tuning.
