Executive Chef Opportunity
21c Museum Hotel Durham, a unique blend of boutique hotel and contemporary art museum, is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team.

About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled cook who is passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of our menu items, working closely with our Sous Chefs and Executive Chef to ensure seamless service delivery.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Menu Execution: Accurately and efficiently cook hot food products, preparing and portioning food products prior to cooking, and performing other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation.
  
• Team Player: Work as part of a team focused on a common goal, reporting to work on time and ready to work scheduled shifts.
  
• Attention to Detail: Possess and bring in the proper tools to do the job, understanding the importance of tasting and seasoning the food properly, and identifying product quality and freshness.
  
• Communication: Strong communication skills, able to speak, read, and understand English, and maintain a clean and organized work station before, during, and post service.
  
• Learning and Development: Actively learn through inquiry, and be able to identify product quality and freshness.
  
• Station Setup and PARS: Know station set up and pars to assist sous chefs in ordering and writing prep lists for the next day.

  • Education: High school or equivalent education required.
    
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
    
  • Availability: Able to work flexible hours (nights, weekends).
    
  • Responsibilities: Responsible, dependable, punctual, and able to pass a background check.
    
    Compensation and Benefits
