TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103 Pay Information $1,894 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: MS/Tele Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience; unit accepts first-time travelers License: NC or Compact license pending OK for submission. Required in hand at the time of start. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIH preferred Must-Have: Skills in IV Start, Telemetry Job Description: - RTO after booking is not allowed and can't be arranged onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could lead to cancellation. - Block scheduling is not accommodated. - Target ratios are 1:6/7, with a focus on 1:6 during normal staffing. Maximum 1:7 ratio when census is up or during critical staffing. - The unit will accept contracts for either 36 or 48 hours. - Required to work every other weekend. - Floating is required as needed. - Patient diagnoses primarily involve general medical-surgical conditions (no longer accepting cardiac telemetry patients). - Unit systems include Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR. - Scheduling type is self-scheduling; block scheduling is not allowed. NM creates the schedule. - Unit orientation consists of 24 hours. - Scrubs should be navy and/or white. - Must pass EKG testing prior to start in this specialty. - COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required, with medical/religious exemptions available. - Travel pairs are allowed but must be submitted for and work on different units. - Candidates must be comfortable floating based on job description without restrictions or special requests. - Charting experience with EPIC is most common. - Two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months are highly preferred. - Compliance: Candidate must complete lab work and testing within specified timeframe after signing. - Completion of modules is required pre-start and annually; hours vary by specialty.
