seeking a skilled Nurse Manager to join our Behavioral Health
team.Job SummaryThe Nurse Manager, Operations will oversee the
delivery of high-quality care in our Behavioral Health Emergency
Department. This role requires a strong clinical background,
excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple
priorities in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient care and personnel needs in the Behavioral
Health Emergency Department
- Plan, develop, and implement ambulatory healthcare services,
programs, and activities
- Oversee multi-specialty nursing services and ensure
high-quality care delivery
- Perform other related duties incidental to the role, including
managing the resolution clinic
- Handle various personnel actions, such as hiring, orientation,
performance appraisals, promotions, and scheduling
- Collaborate on the development, implementation, and expansion
of learning opportunities and skill development for all staff
- Analyze, develop, and maintain an efficient nursing care
delivery system to meet patient and family needs across the
continuum
- Promote education for patients, their families, and the
community; participate in direct patient care activities to role
model or gather information
- Work with nursing colleagues to optimize resource utilization
across departments
- Identify clinical operational needs; manage equipment and
supplies, and ensure proper maintenance
- Assess the environment and make recommendations to ensure
optimal patient comfort, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with the Clinical Operations Director, Behavioral
Health Service Line Director, and Medical Directors on fiscal
requirements; make budgetary recommendations, including staffing
and patient care materials
- Foster exemplary customer service and promote effective
communication skills, including problem-solving, assertiveness,
team support, feedback, active listening, and conflict
resolution
- Develop and implement processes for ongoing quality improvement
in clinic operations
- Document, implement, and monitor policies and procedures that
reflect the behavioral health care site's mission and
objectives
- Collaborate with the Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit manager
on staffing needs
- Manage the clinic in the absence of the ED manager; be
available on-call for emergencies involving the facility, staff,
and patientsRequirements

North Carolina Nurse Practice ActQualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's
degree in Nursing strongly preferred
- Experience: Minimum of three years of nursing experience
required; management experience preferred
- Combination of Emergency Department and Behavioral Health
experience requiredLicenses and Certifications
- Current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina required
- BLS certification required
- Crisis Prevention Institute Training must be obtained within
three months of hire
