and highly motivated Senior Resident Engineer as an integral part
of our Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) Team. This
position is based out of our Raleigh, North Carolina office.About

you contribute to the team?
- Responsible for the administration and observation of
construction activities for major road and bridge construction to
verify the quality of the work performed by the contractor meets
clients' needs and governmental requirements and conforms
substantially with plans and specifications.
- Leads subordinate internal staff involved in the observation,
testing and sampling of construction materials, observation of
construction work, and documentation of plan revisions and work
progress.
- Performs non-manual field work that involves a combination of
conventional and complex features, requiring the application of
sound and diversified professional engineering knowledge in broad
areas of assignments, usually including the coordination of various
projects.
- Represents the firm to the construction project group and has
ultimate responsibility for the firm's performance on the
project.
- Experience working with NCDOT is preferred. Experience working
for other DOT's and on FHWA projects will also be considered.
- Interfaces internally with senior technical professionals,
technical managers, and administrative staff and managers as
necessary.
- Leads, plans and organizes the work of subordinate staff
members.
- Responsible for identifying and hiring staff to meet current
project demands and to support company growth within the
region.
- Supports the business development and sales team through the
identification and pursuit of new work.What will you contribute?
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, plus ten years'
experience.
- American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA)
certification as a Traffic Control Supervisor, or the ability to
obtain within 6 months is required.
- Certification as a Water Pollution Control Manager (WPCM), or
the ability to obtain within 6 months is required.
- Registration as a P.E in NC, or the ability to obtain
reciprocity within 6 months is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in
writing).
- Ability to direct highly complex and specialized construction
engineering administration and inspection program.What we offer at
